Sam Crowe graduated from Trinity College of Music in 2006 and has been working as a freelance musician in London since then. He has performed with some of the most highly regarded jazz musicians in England and abroad including Will Vinson, Jonathon Kreisberg, Julian Siegal, Phil Robson and Phil Donkin to name a few. ?After graduating Sam was offered the Archer's Scholarship to work with Ivor Novello award winning band leader, Bobby Lamb. Sam was also selected for the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead residency programme which recognizes outstanding young jazz composers/performers and was flown to Washington DC where he worked with a faculty of jazz greats including Curtis Fuller and Dr Billy Taylor. He has recently worked on film music for films starring Harvey Keitel and Forest Whittaker. Synaesthesia is the debut recording from jazz pianist and composer Sam Crowe. A poetic and powerful statement, its potent melodies, rich harmonic palette, coupled with Crowes obvious love of rich textures and fascination with orchestration place him firmly as one of this years Rising Stars.
