I bought this program when I was using Windows XP - and on occasions it has been an absolute god send. The program is simple to install, and once done so, it can provide protection against any programs that might have corrupted your system, and or any changes where your computer has become inoperable. The program simply restores your PC prior to when you had those problems.
Windows XP does have a system restore function but on many occasions I have tried to use this, it has failed. This can become so infuriating when you then have to re install software - and at the worst, do a complete reinstall of Windows XP. This is where Norton GoBack comes in to its own. The program is started even before Windows XP loads up - and therefore is able to put the system back to where it was before the problem arose.
On many occasions now this program has been a life saver. I have since moved to Windows 7 which has many more capabilities - so for me Norton GoBack is only for Windows XP and previous versions.
