Product Description

The NEW 2013 Syma S34 Chinook 3 CH Remote Control Helicopter - 2.4GHz!

The well-known brand name of Syma is synonymous with quality remote control models and is an assurance of a quality product.

This uses the latest 2.4GHz Radio Control technology to ensure that it cannot be interfered with by other flyers and to give greater distance and control.

This mid-sized Chinook Helicopter has the best handling of all the helicopters we sell. It is a superbly detailed model, well constructed and most impressive. It also features a pair of bright spotlights situated near the tail of the aircraft, and it looks amazing when it is in flight. The best feature of this model is its superb handling and control. It is one of the easiest to fly models we have, and any keen novice would get to grips with this very quickly.

The three channel radio control gives you the full range of movement, as if you were flying the real thing, up/down, forward/back and left/right. The aircraft has a pleasingly graceful and stable flight, and behaves very much like the real thing - and now with Gyro technology as standard makes this helicopter one of the most stable 3 channel helicopters available today. Becoming an expert pilot of this craft will give you many hours of pleasure. This is an ideal gift for enthusiasts of all ages 14 years and up.

Easy to fly model helicopter featuring 2.4GHz radio control and gyro stabilisation. Everything needed to fly the model is provided except for 4 AA size batteries needed for the transmitter. The helicopter and all accessories are made to a very high standard and should lat a very long time with some care but please remember this is a MODEL and not a TOY,However should someting break or the heli suffers crash damage spare parts are cheap and readily available.

From Amazon this model retails for £59.95 which is super value for money and the cheapest I've found. Buyers beware though! The very same model is advertised on line at other retailers for prices up to £186.95.

Despite being portrayed as a "toy" this is a serious piece of kit. You do need a little experience to fly it as it is quite powerful and could do some damage if you get it wrong! You need quite a large indoor area to fly but it is very stable once you have mastered the controls, it is also very robust and withstands some heavy landings but you can't abuse it. Be careful once you get it moving as it has a lot of inertia and needs to be treated with some respect. It's best enjoyed outside in very calm conditions and fly's beautifully. I have had a number of Syma helicopters and found them all to be excellent value for money. The S34 also looks really great and does convey that scale model appearance.

Flown fixed wing models for years and bought this as a daft laugh. Wow! It's amazing value for money, fun to fly, and having only four square metres to fly in, is surprisingly ding-proof when it bounces off walls/chairs/the odd radiator, even my wife bounced it off the ceiling and shut the power off - none of which are recommended. A few stability issues which disappear once it's a couple of feet off the floor, and an odd habit of taking off sideways now and again, but nothing that detracts from the pure fun, but beware, this thing is quite fast and takes a bit of 'nose up' to stop. If you buy one for the children, you'll need two or you'll end up arguing over who's turn it is. It isn't a scale model by any means, but from six feet away looks realistic - I wonder if it will lift a scale jeep........

bought for 14 yr old son who already has the smaller fantastic version. not as easy to control and the blades continually collide causing it to crash and as a result has caused damage. it now doesnt lift more than a foot off the ground before it tips backwards as the blades appear to rotate at different speeds despite being fixed by a model aircraft shop. There is just no comparison between this and smaller version. would not recommend.

I have a problem with this item as the forward and backward flight do not respond as they should they are very sluggish making it very difficult to fly. According to the write up it should be able to fly it indoors and Syma state that it is one of the easiest and most stable helicopters in their range but with this one i beg to differ, i have other Syma's and have no problem with them at all.
I have sent two emails about this and have been told it could be something called ground effect because of low level flight if this is so it should effect the up and down and left and right function but both of these respond immediately.I fly it at a higher altitude for five minutes then recharge the battery and try it again and if it is still the same a return can be arranged.
