Sylvie and the Songman,

My 7 year old, Dorian, says 'this is a really good book about a girl who's got a teacher who takes the voices away from animals. When Sylvie went on the train to school there was always a fox on the platform watching for her on the train. I liked it because there were a lot of animals in it including a fantastic tiger. There was a balloon pulled by geese to transport the songman. It was a really good adventure - there was also a gorilla who hid the children from the songman.'
