Sylvanian Families is a unique and adorable range of distinctive animal characters with charming and beautifully detailed homes, furniture and accessories. They live, work and play in the idyllic and wonderful land of Sylvania.
Field View Windmill is a well known landmark in Sylvania. There are 3 floors of living space, 2 circular balconies and a terrace over the lower roof. The stable front door opens to reveal a spacious ground floor with 2 rooms and outside there's an integral porch swing which folds out from the side of the Windmill. At the very top there's a concealed conservatory with telescope for stargazing and a winch with a bucket to carry things up there. Each floor is accessable by white ladders which the Sylvanians can climb.
It's fun to turn the sails and open and close the windows and door!

SF items are never cheap and the windmill is no exception. However, there's no doubting the quality and attractiveness of this range of toys. My 6 year old daughter has spent hours since Xmas Day playing with this and its great for resurrecting a child's interest in existing SF characters when they've a new den to hang out at. Also, the windmill is more 'interactive' than a lot of other buildings (paddles wind-up and move, working rope pulley, chair swing, etc..) and consequently it seems to keep a child's attention for longer than usual.

I purchased this windmill for my soon to be 4 year daughter - when I purchased this windmill from Amazon it was less than £60 which was the cheapest price I had seen - it is for Christmas so I have only really had a sneaky peek but it looks great. My only other comment is to echo that of another reviewer - it came from the home delivery network without packaging and had my daughter been in the house at the time the surprise would have been spoiled. Please Amazon to save Santa's reputation package it up !!!!

I ordered this toy for my daughter's birthday, but the surprise was spoiled, because it was delivered unwrapped, and left on the doorstep. On the day it was delivered, I had been out shopping with her. When we returned home she saw her surprise present standing there.
Other buyers should beware of this issue, especially near Christmas, when Santa appears to have abandoned his sleigh and switched to using Home Delivery Network.
It's a lovely toy. Please, Amazon, wrap it before dispatch.

Silvanian wind mill
My 4yr old daughter loves this and plays with it regularly. The fence panels will not stay in place which is a pain but otherwise a great addition to the silvanian range.
