Product Description

Bernard Cribbins narrates four animated tales featuring the lovable Sylvanians. In 'The Lucky Mascot', Birch Timbertop gets a surprise when he goes exploring for arrow heads. 'Fun at the Fair' sees Scarlett Slydale in trouble after accidentally throwing a cream cake at her school teacher. 'Lucky Clover' finds Misty Waters' inability to sing or play a musical instrument hampering her chances of joining Rusty Mildwood's band. Finally, 'Camping Holiday' sees Grandfather Ernest Evergreen coming up with some surprising inventions for the Sylvanian babies.

Product Description

The Sylvanian Families DVD features 4 adorable stories; The Lucky Mascot - When Birch Timbertop goes exploring for flints and arrow heads he finds something else too! Something that causes excitment and trouble at the Sylvania School. The Camping Holiday - Grandfather Ernest Evergreen loves inventing things, but his inventions never quite turn out how he expects them to. When he makes some playpens for the Sylvanian babies, everyone gets a lovely surprise! Fun at the Fair - When Scarlett Slydale accidentally throws a cream cake at her school teacher, Aristotle Treefellow, there certainly is lots of 'Fun at the Fair'! Lucky Clover - Misty Waters wants to be in Rusty Wildwood's band. The trouble is she can't play a musical instrument or sing a song. But when she finds a four leaf clover... Each story is told by Bernard Cribbins and lasts for approximately 10 minutes. These Sylvanian stories on DVD are a lovely gift for girls.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sylvanian greatness 19 Feb 2009
Format:DVD
Hi, just to say if you know any Sylvanian fans, then this DVD is well worth getting for them, it contains separate stories, and brings the characters to life really well. The episodes are not too long, and all of them have a story to tell. Although bought for my little girl, I am only too happy to sit and watch it with her again and again.

This video is great for any Sylvanian family fan who hasn't already got it. It features 4 exciting stories featuring your favourite Sylvanians. It is not a cartoon but puppets and is the only Sylvanian video available that features the figures as they are. All other Sylvanian videos are cartoon version.
This video includes The Lucky Mascot where Birch Timbertop goes looking for flint and arrow heads. But he finds something else that causes excitement. Lucky Clover features Misty Wateers who would like to be in Rusty Wildwood's band. Problem is, she can't sing and she can't play a musical instrument. But then she finds a four leaf clover... Scarlett Slydale features in Fun At The Fair when she throws a cream cake at her school teacher. That arouses a lot of "fun at the fair"! The Camping Holiday: Grandfather Ernest's inventions never turn out how they should be. When he tries to make some playpens for the Sylvanian babies everyone gets a nice surprise!!
Seriously, if you are an avid Sylvanian Family collector, then this video should be in your collection. There is 2 in mine!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sylvanian families DVD 3 Aug 2011
By Sparky
Format:DVD
I got this for my daughter as it brings the Sylvanian Families toys to life using stop motion animation. The Sylvanian toys are used in the setting although it is the old versions. There are 4 short stories of the Sylvanian families and I wish there were more DVDs with the newer toy version.

Excellent value
