Cedar Terrace is a large spacious house for the families of Sylvania. It has three wonderful floors with room for lots of furniture. The top floor has a large round window in and a small balcony to look out of, from the top the families can see for miles around and it is perfect for sitting on the balcony watching the sun set across the picturesque landscape of Sylvania. The middle and ground floors have plenty of room too, which is ideal for when all the other familes of Sylvania come to visit. Furniture and Figures sold seperately. Suitable for children aged 4 and above.

Cedar Terrace has three wonderful floors for lots of furniture. The top floor has a large round window and a small balcony to look out of. The other two floors have plenty of room for furniture and families. The floor piece of the top floor can be removed, and is reversible with a green grass effect on one side so it can be used as a garden. Scenery, figures & furniture not included. Dimensions: Approx height - 38cm, Approx footprint - 21cm x 29cm (without garden), 39cm x 29cm (with garden). Recommended For Ages 4 Plus

Last Christmas we got a Sylvanian Families set and it took hours to put together, thankfully with this Cedar Terrace no construction is required! It simply lifts out of the box and has no loose parts, it also feels quite sturdy - much more so than other (non Sylvanian Family) houses we've had.
You have the choice of having this as a three floor house, or the top level can be removed and placed outside as a garden. The underside is textured to look like grass and removing/replacing it take seconds. This is one of the smaller houses but it's not small enough to be considered portable. Besides which the back is open so everything would fall out! It's not so small that you'll struggle to fit furniture in, but it's also not so large that it will cost a fortune to furnish it either.
In a nutshell: At full price (currently £40) it's not tremendous value for money as it comes with no figures or furniture which is usual for Sylvanian families, but if you can find this reduced then it's one of the better houses and has great play value. It would be a great way to start a collection, and would complement an existing set nicely.

Got this for my 3 year old niece who has loved her big sisters' Sylvanian Families for ages. This is a really nice house - 3 floors and no room divisions so unlike the cottages - room to move furniture around. No furniture or figures with it so quite pricey at full whack but if you get it reduced you'll be pleased with it. You can swop the top floor out and make a garden if you like - we keep it in as we made a wooden board for it to live on and painted in a garden. This has definitely been played with more than the smaller cottages that one of the girls has - I think due to better accessibility. The only suggestion I would have is to look at the big houses / hotels if you're planning to start a collection - then you can focus on furniture and figures rather than the smaller buildings, but it really depends on your child - our lot have three kids worth of kit and they really enjoy mixing it all up and making a town... but I know my preference when they're all in bed is for the hotel!

I have just purchased this house for my daughter while it was reduced. I have taken it out the box and was very impressed. I like the fact that you have versatility with the three floors or a garden. We will probably go for three floors but you never know. I bought the Riverside Lodge last year but it has been largely ignored as it is too small to fit much furniture in. I like that this one is completely open at the front.
I have purchased the country kitchen and bathroom sets too.

lovely size starter house
Great house 3 storeys or 2 with a garden.Bigger space so easier to fit all the furniture in, unlike the smaller 2 storey houses you can get. Read more
