I had a ECDL book covering all the Office applications but had to loan it to someone. However, I needed to do a project with Excel using 2003 edition and this is a great book. What I like about it is there are separate lessons, which are short and punch. You can download the training spreadsheet to help with the exercise and it gives you a chance to try and see how it works. The lessons are easy to follow.

I'd completed the first part of the ECDL course through night school, but couldn't fit in the rest in the time allowed. These books are in the same format as the course, and are so easy to follow. I learned lots on each page, and keep it by my desk as a constant reference tool. If you always get other people to do your Excel work for you- this is an excellent way to learn how to diy. I'm no longer so scared of IT.
