during 18th centure scotland two scottish clans have been fighting for generations.- Larry parks- his a yuong scottman who returns from england.and tries to end the family feud,but when he falls in love with the rival clan niece- a beautifull Ellen Drew- that causes moore trouble.an enjoyabale swashbuklering film with some good swordfights and wonderfull scenery. excellent picture quality and sound no extras.

This is a good movie even though I don't like sword fights. In fact because of that I would not have bought it except that it is Larry Parks. I wish he had made more leading roll movies and that the few he did make were all still available. Aside from liking THE SWORDSMAN because I am a Larry Parks fan, it is a good story. A friend of mine who lived most of her life in Scotland says this movie is very true to the history of the Scotish Clans and their fights with each other. It is also a nice love story. It also has a very good cast besides Parks and I highly recomed it as an enjoyable movie.

This movie has everything, excitement, romance, humour. It's a wonderful movie. The scenery is just superb. The quality is so darn good, it's better than perfect. Larry Parks played a superb part. It's probably one of his finest roles that i have seen from him. This is a video on demand product, produced on a DVD-R but well worth the price. Top Class viewing and a must see for those swashbuckling sword fight movie fans.
