I found one of these in my brother's design kit and it was probably the best pencil sharpener I have ever had the delight of using. Because I've used colouring pencils in all my notes, I needed one with a canister and this pretty much fit the bill.
However, this particular one was about 8 years old (surprising enough that Swordfish are still making them thankfully) and because of that, the sharpener itself broke off from the lid of the canister (I suspect the glue must have dried up). I tried to superglue the sharpener back onto the lid, but the glue sort of oozed out of the cavity where you put the pencil through, and that totally ruined everything: there was nothing more I could have done :-(
So, I found these on the internet and purchased about 6 of them to last for a pretty long while and I have never been disappointed since. The blade is so sharp, it's a real delight to sharpen pencils and it's also nice knowing that it only takes about 3 general rotations of the pencil to bring it to point sharpness (although, I'd prefer my pencils to be little less pointy because no matter how much pencil manufacturers say, the nibs cannot be diamond-hard). You don't need to keep a firm grip on the pencil as well which shows just how sharp it is; a light grip suffices so it makes it incredibly comfortable.
All in all, I think this is perhaps a tremendous quality and economical pencil sharpener for everyday use. I'm not surprised it's a Swordfish, clearly.
