The award-winning Swordfish 1000XC is the perfect personal shredder, ideal for the home or home/office – described as a clear ‘best buy’ by Europe’s largest consumer watchdog organisation.
The robust 1000XC shredder has a maximum 10-sheet cutting capacity (based on 80gsm paper) and will shred an A4 sheet into 400 tiny 4 x 39mm pieces through its wide 220mm feed slot at a speed of 2.0m/minute and a low noise level of only 69dB. The 1000XC also has a large 20-litre slide-out bin, big enough to hold approx. 150 shredded sheets before it requires emptying.
The Swordfish model 1000XC also features – Infrared Auto Stop/Start, a Reverse Button to help reduce paper jams and will also shred paper clips, staples and credit/bank cards. The Swordfish 1000XC shredder comes complete with four castors for ease of movement around the home or office, weighs 9.1kgs and measures H.533 x W.262 x D.350mm.

Purchased for use in a small office environment. Been in regular use for about a month now and delighted with the Swordfish 1000XC. It has eaten up everything thrown at it and not once jammed up. Complete contrast to its predecessor, a Fellowes Shredmate.

I am not sure if this company were waiting round the corner. I ordered this late afternoon. Then somehow early next morning it arrived, all the way from Scotland to suffolk in less than 18hours. Unbievable.
Oh and by the way the shredder is excellant. this was a 2nd purchase for another office. They are great

It's not often I find the time to reveiw a product and I have certainly bought a lot from Amazon and am always impressed by their service. After having several of the everyday cross cut shredders which are too small and unbelievably cumbersome and messy to empty, this one is a dream come true! I work from home so I have a lot to shred! This one has a drawer, with a little window to view how full it's getting, so you only need to pull it out and empty. Very little mess involved and a much larger capacity than the everyday ones you can buy everywhere. Takes up to 10 sheets of 80 gsm paper and even has a credit card slot!
I paid £66.93, which included postage, from an Amazon Market Trader called 'The Warehouse.Com. I ordered it Sunday evening and it arrived Tuesday morning! Unbelievable service!
