I needed a budget cutter for my art studies and general home use. I picked this cutter as a middle priced buy and am perfectly satisfied. Cuts squarely, is easy to use, accurate measurements. No problems. Other reviews complain of sharpness, but I've had no issues. Cuts upto 4 pieces of printer paper no trouble, and slides through photopaper upto 260gsm.

I tried other cheap cutters from supermarkets and Staples but they either won't cut in a straight line, just marked the paper, or were fiddly to hold everything together. This though doesn't seem to suffer from any of that, and I can be a bit careless with it as the frame is very solid.

Value for Money 29 Aug 2010
I looked at several trimmers and decided this one fitted the bill for me. The intended use was to trim photographs which it does well. I would not advise trimming several sheets at a time as they can have a ragged edge. Particularly with the heavy duty photo papers. All in all though this trimmer is good at what it does and certainly very good value for money

Almost useless for photos
This product is only good for lightweight, plain A4 paper (the brand name 'Swordfish' is appropriate as this trimmer cuts very much like a fish). Read more

disappointing - will not cut more than six pages - keeps getting stuck but I suppose you cannot expect much as it was not expensive.

Exellent product for the price when bought, but unfortunately has a tendancy to cut wavy if not held firm and cutting quickly. Read more

NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Blade not sharp enough for photos - I spoilt loads trying to trim them down. The photos also moved quite a lot when you were cutting.

Adequate to the task for the price.
Could be a little sharper and a less flexible plastic guide placed in front of the sliding cutter would aid the cutting process no end. Read more
