Well it does the job. I'm a school teacher. Took it to school because we had an AWFUL lot of pencils that needed sharpening.....which it did.
You should know though that if you're going to do any serious sharpening, you'll need to invest in some decent rechargeable batteries.
One other problem....it's really difficult to replace the bottom once you've put the batteries inside. It's as though the bottom of the case hasn't been designed correctly.
Apart from that...great fun.

Before I purchased the Swordfish battery operated pencil sharpener I read all the previous reviews and must say I thoroughly agree with them. I love using this sharpener it is a nice shape to hold and is brilliant at sharpening the pencils.

Got one of these Sharpeners for my Daughter as it's a great little device and very eye catching. Only problem is, I need to buy more pencils as she's gone sharpening mad!! I thought batteries lasted fairly well as it stops and starts automatically so they didn't drain. Nice bit of kit!

rubbish
After sharpening about 20 pencils the blade looked ragged and shredded further pencils.Not only out of pocket on this item but shortened some of my best drawing pencils. Read more

Nasty poorly designed junk!

Great for it's size
Very handy little gadget. does a great job of sharpening. One has to keep a good grip on the pencil as it enters the slot as the Swordfish motor starts immedietly on entry. Read more

Just get a proper electric sharpener.
It's just a normal sharpener on a rotating axis. It's not better at avoiding breaking the lead than you are. It doesn't give much better results. Read more
