5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Re-mastering 25 Jun 2009
In the era of the first rental videos in the early 80's I saw the film Shogun Assassin (then classed as a video nasty because of the body count and graphic violence) and was blown away... it's taken me til now, as I read my way through the LW&C manga, to re-connect with this great tradition. The pictures are bright and subtitles clear, no problems expressed on earlier DVD copies. As for the story, if you love LW&C you'll like it, I'd recommend reading the comics first for a better idea of teh subplots and subtleties. All in all an awesome series!
