Interesting, bold design with a bright red bezel and a very large face. I like the alarm function, or at least the idea of it. The alarm is barely audible when on the wrist, a little better when off -- so mostly useless. I like the sapphire crystal; that's nice to see on a watch under $200.
I'm disappointed at the light-weight feel of the watch, which makes the stainless steel seem more like tin, particularly the watch band. I've seen better watch bands on lesser-priced watches. I do like the clasp -- very secure. Pulling the crown out to the alarm/date position is difficult without pulling it out all the way and stopping the movement. The minute hand tends to jump when the crown is pushed in, making the watch difficult to set precisely, and then the second hand never seems to fall directly on the second marks.
Some prices for this were close to $400, so while pleased with visual aspects of the design I expected more in terms of fit and finish.
The bezel edges are pronounced and a little on the sharp side. This makes the bezel easy to grip and turn but the edges are sharp enough to damage other surfaces (say, leather car seats) if you're careless. I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature.
Given the drawbacks I'd recommend it, but just barely, and then only because of it's sharp-looking design. I wouldn't recommend spending much more than $100 on it.
