I saw a Benoit Viellefon live concert in London and found the performance really amazing. I bought the Swing a la Mode Mp3, put it in my car and I just, relax and smile,... Love it !

This is the real deal! Great music that creates a wonderful atmosphere and lifts the mood, at anytime of the day.
Only problem is that i had to buy this album 4 times as my friends that listened to it, fell in love with it and 'borrowed' it every time!
Wish there was more quality music like this out there.

This is such a nice album.
I saw Benoit and his orchestra live and they had run out of CD to sale at the concert so I tried Amazon. They were so good on stage i was convinced. But I was very surprised when i was bought the CD to find such exquisite music. The band on stage was very upbeat, the CD is a lot more atmospheric and i must admit that i love it, it's like playing a soundtrack of classic films, it puts you in the mood straight from the first song. If you are not a 1920-40's expert and want to discover the music of the era, i recommend this album, there is a mix of jazz, parisian gypsy swing, french musette with accordion, latin and swing music. There are only 9 songs on the album, somewhat not enough for my liking but you'll find also that their website is very good and there are lots of free tracks and videos you can get if you register on the mailing list ( i did i'm a bit of a fan....). Very nice album indeed.

Benoit Viellefon is a rarity nowadays. Why? Because he, his orchestra and his 'Hot Club' (check out the Live at the Quecumbar cd) are the genuine article. In an age where technology and corporate business success seem to be the primary drivers in the music industry, along comes a maestro who plays the music he loves with both passion and integrity. You can tell that he isn't after the fast buck, but wants to keep the heritage of this wonderful music alive by bringing it to an audience of both young and old alike who want something that is both vintage, yet up to date. The man is elegant, the music is both elegant and cool. Timeless quality played by a master in his field. If you have any doubts, go to his website to hear some samples of what is on offer. You won't be disappointed. Benoit, me and many others salute you.
