A very nice book, beautifully illustrated. Well written so that young children can follow it and illustrated so that they can match the actions with the pictures. All in all a good book!

A children's classic 19 Dec. 2005
By Jacqueline Baronian - Published on
Format: Hardcover
This is a wonderful book with unique, lovely illustrations. The story, a day in the life of a family - a sister, brother, mother and father, is told in lyrical poetry and stunning pictures. Our 20 month old son has loved this book since we bought it about five months ago. Our 19 month old niece loves it too. They want us to read it to them over and over. It is that type of book that adults also look forward to reading. This is a classic.
Lovely Childrens Book 24 Feb. 2006
By Lucine Kouyoumjian - Published on
Format: Hardcover
My daughter loves this book. She loves pointing to all the different items in the illustrations, and learning what they are and how they relate to the story. The illustrations are lovely, charming, so it is easy for a child to enjoy. Some books can be harsh. It has the standard opposites in rhyme which helps the children learn the story and makes them reading ready.

I was a teacher in the NYC public school system for 17 years and I recommend this book.
