I got this book because much as I enjoy swimming, I was getting a bit bored with monotonous lengths. It has done exactly what I had hoped - injected my swimming regime with new ideas and now I look forward to my time in the pool! It's also great to have the tools to improve my technique - Greg Whyte clearly has a lot of experience and knows what he is talking about. Highly recommended.

Fitter and fitter 28 Mar 2010
Format:Paperback
Having retired 18 months ago I got myself fitter using the 5 minute work outs in 'Get Fit not Fat'. Now that I have a copy of 'Swim for Life', I have returned to my boyhood interest of swimming. I find the tips in Professor Whyte's book invaluable for gaining more enjoyment from swimming as I improve my technique and the training schedule is very motivating because of the variable programme it gives for each day.

not well written 14 Feb 2011

I thought this took too much for granted. Unless you were a swim enthusiast what is the 'catch stroke'. Rather pleased with itself as well.
