What can I say? I was a little dubious about how well made these pans would be when I saw the price, but when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The handles are riveted on - no more wobbly handles! The lids have little vent holes in them - no more rattling/splashing lids! The pans have volume measures inside them - no need to use and wash up a measuring jug! They look very presentable, have proper bases on them, a gorgeous shiny finish, lovely thick cast handles, and easy to wash up. They're not non-stick, but do chefs use non stick pans? Well, I guess they don't do their own washing up! Anyway, I have a non stick pan I use for sticky stuff. These pans are a very good deal at this price. If I could find any fault with them, I'd not give them 5 stars, but I can't. Sorry. I think the reason why they are such good value is because the ubiquitous 'celeb chef' on the side of the box is definately not in the A-list, so you're only paying for pans, and not Big-Tongue Oliver's new Maserati.

Excellent quality construction and pretty good-looking too but.........
Very easily scratched interior- use wooden or non-stick utensils!
No second handle to allow lifting with both hands- the largest pan when full of water and spuds is heavy!
