Tom Swift and His Big Dirigible 6 Feb 2010

The story line is fast moving and easy to read. It's historical significance is that it reflects society's fascination and dreams of using large dirigibles for long distance travel in the late Twienties and early Thirties at a time when airplanes were still fairly primitive.

The book does take liberties with the limitations and capabilities of dirigibles, but that is understandable given the level of the audience at that time.
