A little stiff in places , but it's a fun collection of short novels for young readers.
4.0 out of 5 stars Tom Swift Sr., the shorter collection 4 Jun 2012

This is the shorter Tom Swift Sr. 5 Novel Collection. It's a good read and if you ever talked with grandpa, who would be long gone by now, this series of novels will certainly bring back memories of your childhood. There is another Tom Swift Sr. Collection that contains 28 Novels and in that collection all 5 of these Novels are included. So for the slight difference in price for the Kindle Edition, I have to recommend the full collection. If you were dealing with a hard cover edition and were not sure of if you would find these Novels of interest, then the shorter collection would have merit. As these are all digital, your laptop will still weigh the same, so go for the gusto. These Novels were written in Circa 1914 at least that was the first ones anyway. So when they mention aero planes, they are not talking about jets, and cars and motorcycles were of the vintage long long ago with a spark advance in the cockpit, but the adventures are still good to read and give you a perspective of life of that time period. Enjoy these Novels, I have.
