If you have read Hester Browne before then you will know just what to expect from this book, and you won't be disappointed. A heroine you can really relate to, lots of lovely little dtails, a good story and a happy ending. You can almost slip into this world yourself. Reading this made me really want to go to Scotland, and to learn some reels! Enjoy!

Having absolutely loved the 3 Little Lady books and The Finishing Touches, I was a bit disappointed with this one. Yes, it's a nice story - but I felt it took ages to get going, and there wasn't the immediate sense of engagement with the main character that there is in the others. It couldn't seem to decide whether it was about antiques or reeling - with the consequence that neither came off as well as they might have if one had a clearer focus. Sorry, Hester!

I buy Hester Browne books for my wife. This is yet another success as far as my wife is concerned.
If it keeps my wife happy then I will buy every Hester Browne book that is available.
