I was suprised when i tried this headset on and it didn't sound too bad, the mic on it is an average headset mic so nothing special. I used this to play some games like half-life 2 and it didn't sound bad. i think if your wanting to get a cheap headset for communication and light gaming this is good.

these unfortunately didn't work, the microphone kept cutting in and out very rapidly causing my Realtek audio manager to keep popping up every second so i couldn't get anything done. it seems many of this type of headset seem to have trouble with the mic. Contacted seller who were very good, acted promptly and offered refund, so top marks to them.

Less than five quid, does what I need of it. Presumably I'll need to be careful not to rip the cables out of it but for an occasional IP phone user, it's ideal. It has an integrated volume control in case you were wondering, and is proper stereo. If you care about such things, the mic only extends from the left earpiece, not the right. And mine arrived in black, not silver, but as I can't see it from where I sit (What? No Video calling?) I could care more.
