4.0 out of 5 stars sweet spot? 19 Oct 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I thought the main story between law and cat was great! I like the way the writing fits their story; like a comic. I agree the other twosome doesn't really work; although I went back to it, I did skip it at first. I love the whole series, including the Christmas novella and I know I will read them again.

4.0 out of 5 stars best last chapter of a series ever! 15 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Big fan of the Richmond Rouges series and I am gutted this seems like its the last one, but the last chapter where all the characters have a last summery was soooo worth the price of the book, after reading a series you dont always get to finish it with a round up of all the previous couples love that you do here! This centres on Law and Cat and a small (bit pointless to me romance with Rouge Brody and Mary he's first love who he treated like crap) I think thats what lets this down and lost a star for me, Rouge is hard to like and the story is too short to really get a better opinon of him, but Law and Cat's story is great, after meeting Wonder Woman at a party in a club he's buying Law is smitten with a capital S, but Cat (dressed as Wonder woman checking out the club for her boss, Law's the client) gets spooked and runs off leaving her whip behind for Law to find and the search is on, little does he know the next day when he is meeting with Cat for other investments that she's he's mystery woman, the story is simple much the same as all the others but its got a big blob of romance a sprinkle of funny bits and it keeps you reading sorry to see this series go, but it was a blast reading it.

4.0 out of 5 stars HITS THE SPOT 25 April 2012

James"Law"Lawless plays for the Richmond Rogues, rich, famous and single, but his riches are not only from baseball he is heir to the worldwide chain of hotels, currently owned and run by his Grandfather, Randell. Law's best friend and ex-player for the Rogues Zen is a financial genius. Law wants to expand his portfolio and Zen gives the job to his associate Catherine"Cat"May, no slouch herself when it comes to recommending investments and boosting her clients finances. Law is interested in buying a club which is up for sale. Cat decides to visit the club "Haunt" to check it out. Dressed in costume as Wonder Woman, Cat gets a feel for the place, it has a sexy vibe. The atmosphere is thick with sexual tension as men and woman in costume remaining anonymous, get together. This is not really Cat's scene, and she had decided to leave when she was approached by Captain America, tall and muscular the sexual pull between them was instant. After their intense hook-up on the dance floor Cat leaves, but she has dropped Wonder Woman's lasso of truth. Captain America picks it up, determined to discover the identiy of the woman in the costume
When Cat has her first business meeting with Law, she realises that he is none other than her Captain America. She is determined he must never discover that she was Wonder Woman.

Fans of the Richmond Rogues have waited a long time for this story. The writing as usual is flowing and descriptive from this author. I did enjoy this addition to the series, with a few minor reservations, I felt the first half if the book lacked action and direction, the story seemed more preoccupied with too much detail for me about too many mundane things that the reader didn't need to know. We are treated to a narrative of a whole basball game, yes I know this is a sports romance but more emphasis was needed on the romance IMO. We were made privy to every financial dealing that Law had, and when we were treated to the history of his dinning room table that was a step too far for me. The second half of the book made up for the lack of action in the first, as usual there was a secondary romance between another Richmond Rogue Brody and the small town girl he left behind seven years before. The relationship between the H/h was quite tentative and was slowly built. I felt that there could have been a little more interaction between them.
Characters from the previous books made an appearance it was nice to catch up with all of them and how their lives had moved on.
All in all a good read, not my favourite of the series. But a must read nonetheless.
