Band of Skulls have announced details of the release of their new album. Sweet Sour will be released through Electric Blues Recordings on Monday February 20th 2012.

A very good friend played me a copy of this recently and I really enjoyed what I heard. The variety of music and energy of the players is great and I have it in my car, so listen to it quite a bit. Also bought a second CD by the same band. Although I can be classified as a "Wrinkly"/ "Silver Surfer"/ "Grey Nomad"/ Pensioner, I still enjoy a wide range of music and played drums, until two years ago, in a variety of bands from the age of 16! Bands like this make me miss playing.

took a chance on this one after hearing the track "wanderluster". what a gamble! every track is fantastic. you need this in your collection. havent stopped playing this cd since it arrived.

I was worried about this album as a follow up to the excellent Baby Darling Doll Face Honey but I shouldn't have.

Although their first album will always hold a special place in my heart, this album is excellent in its own right. I simply love every track. The faster ones, the slower ones, they all have beautiful lyrics and this trio sound amazing.

You need to own this album and definitely see the band live if you can.

could have been better
Good effort from a uk band but there are at least 3 "school band" tunes. A bit of touring and they will be a band to watch.
