Editorial Reviews

Reading Eating and Dreaming Reviews ~ I think this was a great addition to the Moreno Brother series. Each novel in this series highlights a major conflict that young adults can easily relate to. I really appreciate that and applaud Reyes for incorporating realistic conflicts and characters in her novels

YA Indie Princess Reviews ~ What can I say Elizabeth Reyes has once again blown me away I loved Sofie's novel and her and Eric are just meant to be. I was super happy when I saw this had been released on amazon.co.uk sad that I will even say this but I did a happy dance. I can't wait to read the next two books in the amazing series.

Mteja- GoodReads reviewer ~ I devoured this book from beginning to end in one sitting. Now I'm sleep deprived but it was worth it. Sweet Sofie is a delicious read for anyone who's a fan of an forever-and-ever kind of a love story.

Tasha -GoodReads reviewer ~ I went into Sweet Sofie thinking I already knew their story from reading Forever Mine and Always Been Mine. Asking myself, "What more can be left to say?" However, I was still excited to read it out of my love for the former books and my new (ever-growing) loyalty for their author. But I was so wrong! Elizabeth Reyes took this story to an incredible height, that I did not see coming. Eric and Sofia are absolutely amazing together. There is not a dislikable character in this book. Nor, is there a thing to be changed, 5 stars no doubt about it!

***************************************************************************************************

Her entire life, Sofia Moreno has dealt with overprotective brothers. With her three older brothers always lurking, no boy would dare reach out to her. Luckily for Sofia, the one boy she's got her heart set on has always been within reach: her brother's best friend Eric, even though his loyalty to her brothers runs deep. Sofia knows there is only so much he can do before giving in to her.

Two years older than her, Eric Diego has always known there would be hell to pay if he messed with his best friend's kid sister, Sofia. Through the years, he watches as she blooms into a beautiful young lady right before his eyes. With teenage hormones raging and Sofia more than willing, Eric agrees to the unthinkable: a forbidden secret romance. Feeling emotions and a feverish passion that's new to them both, neither is ready for how quickly their romance spins out of control.

YA Mature

Short Teaser:

Eric stood up. Something pierced into his chest. "What did you do?"
Tears rolled down her cheeks. "He just wanted to show me a gun his dad got for--"
"What did you do, Sofia?" He wasn't sure if anyone was home and he didn't care. He raised his voice, feeling on the verge of losing it. "What the fuck did you do in his bedroom that has you crying?"

Sweet Sofie begins when Sofie is the young age of 10 and follows her and Eric's relationship from childhood crush through to undeniable love.

The early years in this book made me chuckle so much, the sometimes naive and immature actions brought some light hearted humour but more importantly I feel it was a brilliant idea of Reyes to show us the events and acts which helped shape them into the characters we know and love.

This series just keeps getting better,I cannot wait for the next...

Sweet Sofie is the third book in the series and follows the baby of the family and only girl, Sofia/Sofie.

This is a nice short one; it starts with Sofia as a little girl and progresses through her childhood and teenage years and developing relationship with Eric.

I enjoyed the glimpse into their childhood, though again, we end up faced with a cheating issue when Sofia runs into old classmate Brandon while her boyfriend is away on an internship and they kiss.

I love these characters now and though being Sofia would be hellish, I love the over-protective bodyguard brothers, but I fell in and out of like with Eric in this and at a part, sort of hoped she'd end up with Brandon, or at least, not with Eric. I found he went a bit OTT over the whole Brandon thing because of course, it isn't just a simple kiss, it's moments of running into him or him showing up at the house, and I felt he got a bit annoying.

I still enjoyed this book and I am glad I read it but felt for Brandon and feel he was maybe a bit victimised and would have liked to have known for sure whether he was genuine or the antagonist that the brothers were convinced he was.
