Product Description

You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon & USA Today bestselling novel, Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored, and raw to the bone.

It makes me laugh when I hear folks think Molly and I rushed into things too fast, spouting that we couldn't possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn't we? She became my whole life, didn't she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged ten, eleven, twelve—damn, all my bastard life—when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they'd dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them evil don't exist in their eyes.

Fuck Romeo and Juliet. This is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you in on more of our story too.

Sweet Rome is a New Adult Companion Novel to Sweet Home—contains adult content, sexual situations, and mature topics. Suited for ages 18 and up.

More About the Author

Tillie Cole is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.

Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie, regards Newcastle to be a home from home and enjoyed the Newcastle Geordie way of life for seven 'proper mint' and 'lush' years.

One summers day, after finishing reading her thousandth book on her much loved and treasured Kindle, Tillie turned to her husband and declared, "D'you know, I have a great idea for a story. I could write a book." Several months later, after repeating the same tired line at the close of another completed story, she was scolded by her husband to shut up talking about writing a novel and "just bloody do it!" For the first time in eleven years, Tillie actually took his advice (he is still trying to get over the shock) and immediately set off on a crazy journey, delving deep into her fertile imagination.

Tillie, ever since, has written from the heart. She combines her passion for anything camp and glittery with her love of humour and dark brooding men (most often muscled and tattooed - they're her weakness!). She also has a serious side (believe it or not!) and loves to immerse herself in the complex study of World Religions, History and Cultural Studies and creates fantasy stories that enable her to thread serious issues and topics into her writing -- yep, there's more to this girl than profanity and sparkles!

After six years of teaching high school Social Studies and following her Professional Rugby Player husband around Europe, they have finally given up their nomadic way of life and settled in Calgary, Alberta where Tillie spends most of her days (and many a late night) lost in a writing euphoria or pursuing a dazzling career as a barrel-racing, tasselled-chap wearing, Stetson-sporting cowgirl... Ye-haw!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rome - he came, we saw, he conquered 31 Jan 2014

Now I am always wary when I pick up an alternative perspective book. There are only a couple of authors that I personally think have done the characters and themselves justice. Tillie Cole joins them, because this book was fabulous; it added additional content, depth and emotion into Rome as a character and his journey with Molly.

Yes there are mirrored conversations - you will never get away and can't get away from that in an alternate POV, but it's Rome's inner thoughts and feelings during these moments which kept it fresh and un-repetitive. And there is a treat with new content heading towards the finish line. I felt for him the first time round, this time my heart ached for him; I felt his pain and I fell in love with him all over again. What can I exterior may be mid 30's but the interior is still in her 20's.

If you haven't read Sweet Home, I'd recommend reading first, if you have, I doubt you will be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Sweet Stars 15 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's rare, I think, that the companion novel is as good as the first. I loved Sweet Home and gave it 5 stars in a heartbeat. This is from Rome's viewpoint and runs parallel to the first book and then gives you so much more at the end. I liked this one even more than Sweet Home. Tillie Cole has become a one click author for me. Cannot wait for the next 2 books.

I left it quite a while between this one and the first one Sweet Home, in fact I more or less forgot what happened in the first book but for me, that was great and I go to relive it all in this one! Absolutely loved Rome's POV!

5.0 out of 5 stars So good 18 Jun 2014

I very seldom leave reviews but I have to say that I love this author's books. I have read It Ain't Me Babe (such a good story), Sweet Home, and this one and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. She has the ability to draw you in with all of her characters, even the bad ones, and they all have great storylines, not the usual "cliche" tales that a lot of these sorts of books have become. So, on that note, I'm now off to purchase the other book of hers that I have not yet read.
