2.0 out of 5 stars BORING!!! 9 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a great Simon Cowell fan, I was very, very disappointed in this book! Kept going three quarters of the way through and then gave up! Any of the up-to-date news, had already been in the media to my reckoning. Nevertheless, would still probably buy books relating to Simon, case of better luck next time!

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard to get into and quite boring ! 8 Jan 2013

I was looking forward to reading this book but I have found it to be quite long winded, boring and hard to read!

2.0 out of 5 stars Grief, I hope it improves! 11 May 2012
By Mrs
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Admittedly I am only half way through but boy I am struggling with this one! I hate not finishing a book so I will persevere, but the subject matter is dull, he is dull, and the writing style is terrible! Quotes and prose supposedly intertwined to relate the story but there is no flow to it and I find myself having to re-read sections to make sense of it. Very clunky and disjointed. Pretty desperate stuff, but I suppose I should have only expected that. Second star given in (over?) optimistic hope that things can only get better!

14th May - update. I have finished it, thank god. Still definitely no more than two stars and even that feels a bit generous.

Awful.

3.0 out of 5 stars Intersting content but not very well written 28 Nov 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The content is great but its not a very well written book unfortunately. Book does not flow which at times makes uncomfortable, frustrating reading.

3.0 out of 5 stars Dull! 12 Nov 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I'm afraid this book was pretty dull and although I read it all, it was a struggle. It didn't really hold my attention and short on some detail, although the author did seem to know what Simon cowell ate at every meal! If he had that kind of insight, why not more about some of the more interesting items, such as his relationship with other judges and more about his creating of "stars". I had stopped watching The X Factor before I read this, but certainly wouldn't watch it now

3.0 out of 5 stars what an empty life 12 Jun 2013
By Mungo
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
i read all the other reviews before writing this one and I was interested to see how many reviewers used the word 'boring'. I too found it hard going in places but I don't think it was the author's fault. I think Simon Cowell's life comes across as quite boring and samey. All that money ,power and sex and not a lot else. It made me glad I'm not Simon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Revenge 26 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Had quite a reasonable opinion of Simon until I read this book and then he turned into a stupid, selfish, uninteresting, greedy person... I'm sure he isn't that bad!

1.0 out of 5 stars terrible 11 Nov 2012
Format:Paperback
This is a terrible third, forth or even sixth word book I have ever had the chance to read. What I mean is, its all hearsay. Another thing is, Simon must have had a hand in this book, its all 'nice' and excusable for any of his 'mistakes' actions.

Don't waste your money, your better of reading Cheryl Cole's, it was honest and a much better read
