5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book 27 Jan 2011
Format:Hardcover
This book was recommended to me by a lingerie designer on Burda (a sewing site), I love it... It come with a mixture of 15 patterns/templates, I have never made underwear before. And this book it look oh so easy with templates and inspirations galore... I have already ear marked fabric for my first project. Also this book Talks of recycling AKA upcycling tablecloths and lots more... This book is a must if you fancy giving lingerie a go.... I do have to read up on elastic that bit more but I have never worked on it before other than waist bands!... But all that can be found on line. I think this book deserves the 5 stars without having, a in-depth write up on said elastic... As it have EVERYTHING else within Hope this helps you in your decision making :)

5.0 out of 5 stars sweet something 2 July 2010
By becki
Format:Hardcover
This is a fantastic book! I ordered it slightly apprehensive as to how I would find sizing up the patterns and was delighted to find that the book actually comes with patterns. This is a wonderful addition to a very comprehensive and easy to follow sewing book. I really can't recommend it enough!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing 2 July 2011
Format:Hardcover
Dumbing down is possibly a good description. I had hoped to create really beautiful, luxurious pieces, however most of the designs in this book remind me of things I would have made as a teenager, with no experience of pattern cutting and little care to actual fit. Triangles for a bra! It's hardly high-end lingerie! Does anyone actually use these patterns?
