Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Ewan the dream sheep is a simple yet effective tool for settling restless babies and toddlers into a peaceful slumber. Cute, cuddly Ewan attaches securely to the cot bars or sit him next to your moses basket, and plays real heartbeat and womb sound combinations that mimic the noises babies hear inside the womb. These comforting sounds have been proven to be effective for settling and calming even the most restless newborns, as they make the difficult transition from womb to world.

Even better is that Ewan has a choice of 3 further pink noise sound combinations- similar to white noise but more effective--which are suitable for older babies and toddlers, so he can go on helping with your sleep routine well on into the pre-school years.

Ewan loves to travel, so if you're out and about he can be attached to the buggy or car seat so your little one can be comforted ‘on the go’ and there’s no chance of leaving him behind. With his useful tail you could even securely attach a dummy or teether. Ewan also doubles as a nightlight, thanks to his soft pink comforting glow, so no need to buy one of these as an extra and his calming soft light simply adds to his charm.

Bought this to replace Ramsey the Nightmare Goat. Works much better. Baby doesn't wake up screaming with terror anymore.

When you don't have children of your own its hard trying to buy a present that will be both appropriate and appreciated. My best friend's daughter gave birth in June this year and I bought them each a Ewan the Sheep for their baby girls. I can report that Ewan is a real hit with both babies and their parents.

What a surprise this was! Not overly attractive, in fact a bit strange, but the baby loves it. Been using since he was a week old and this cot toy just seems to send him to sleep. Great. The switches for the alternate noises in his legs are a bit fiddly but this is far outweighed by the sleep factor.

Dreadful battery life...come on whoever designed the circuit, one red LED and a little sound can't possibly be this battery hungry....BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT EWAN RULES! He radiates womb-like sounds at a button-push and visibly calms the little fella when it's time for bed. Just great and cute too!

We love this sheep. My daughter is used to having one of the sounds (left front leg) on when she falls asleep and I must say this is totally working. I think I started this when she was around 3 months old or so. I have never used the light with it as it freaked her out in the beginning. There are 4 sounds which are controlled by pressing the sheep's legs. This was not written anywhere in the instructions, it's also not written that there is a "test" function which means that it will play sounds randomly. I don't use it in "test". There is also a lovely music which is really calming and I use that when it's time to wake up or just to relax. I have recommended this to other moms, it will of course only work if you get your baby used to it on a daily basis. I must admit I take this sheep along on holidays to ensure that my daughter has her familiar sounds when she falls asleep in a different setting and that is quite reassuring. I think the batteries it requires didn't come with it but could be wrong, you'll need 3 AA batteries. The sheep's tail is velcro and could be used to hang it on to the crib or pram, I never used this but it's a nice idea and gives you an option.

I was a bit skeptical about Ewan, considering there are many YouTube clips that can be used as sleep aids for babies. However, this has proved me wrong and it has really helped my colicky, five-week old daughter settle down at night.

We tend to use the white noise most often and this settles my daughter and helps her drift off to sleep. The bonus is that the noises only last for 20 minutes and I think this is all you would need. It doesn't take much to keep the noise going for longer but it would be good if you had a setting option for different durations, like you have with the volume.

Ewan isn't too loud or bright and I have no issues with it playing in our bedroom - it helps us fall asleep too! He is cute and cuddly and easy to move around - great benefits if your baby has more than one place to sleep.

I would certainly recommend this for parents as you quickly see the difference. A little pricey perhaps, it's definitely one to have when your baby just can't settle on their own.

My 2week old loves this sheep! He sometimes takes a while to settle, so I put this on next to him and he just loves staring at it, and soon gets him off to sleep. I'd deffo recommend this to anyone with a crying or unsettled baby.
