Sweet Believing gives an extraordinary insight into eight covenanting heroes of the Scottish Reformation. The tales of how these christians were murdered for thier beliefs is so harrowing that it will stay with you for ever. Jock Purves gives his own view of these very ordinary Protestants who would rather die than deny thier Faith. This period in British history is often overlooked but it should be remembered that the Covenanters died to win the freedom and democracy that has been at the centre of the western world for more than 300 years.
