Most excellent book by an incredible person

Got this book at a independent bookseller in Savannah, GA a few weeks ago and just fell in love with the recipes, the chef, and the cuisine. Sweet potato cheesecake? You have got to try it - fantastic! The recipe shown on the cover with all the layers of strawberries and flat cakes is superb! We swung by Atlanta recently on a trip and went to the bakery to meet Chef Sonya and it was very much worth the trouble! She sat with us and talked about her recipes, her momma, and she was truly interested in our cooking. Highly recommend this book and if you have a chance to meet the author - do it! She is incredible!

BEAUTIFUL,EASY,CRAVEABLE

Recipes are so simple and easy to follow,just the way it should be done. No fancy utensils or fancy ingredients required. I LOVE the history and personal stories from Chef Sonya. Beautifully written and so heartwarming.
There are a few technical omitions, just email Chef Sonya to get corrections.
The food phtographs are AWESOME!!! It makes you want to eat the pages. As a cookbook collector this makes my top 5.

AHHHHH, Lemon Cheese Cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first learned of Chef Sonya while reading an article in a Taste of the South magazine that featured her Lemon Cheese Cake recipe. I was sold right then because I loved Lemon Cheese Cake as a child. So, when I saw her cookbook in Barnes & Noble I knew that I had to come here to Amazon and get it. Of course, the only recipe I've made so far is....you guessed it the Lemon Cheese Cake (DELICIOUS!!!!!) but I plan on preparing a number of the other recipes as well. The recipe instructions are simplistic and the photos are Beautiful!!!! I'm sooooo glad that I came across this book but an added bonus is that her bakery is only a 20 min ride from where I live. So, I'll be able to try some of her baked goods and maybe meet her!!!!
