I would recommend this book to any Mary-Kate and Ashley fan, or any girl aged 10-16. This book follows the two previous titles in the sweet sixteen series, after they have turned 16. For summer they both have jobs at a music festival, but they don't exactly get the jobs they want, and one grumpy girl holds a secret - and Ashley won't rest till she finds out! This book is about laughs, and lads, read the book, it's worth it!

Mary Kate and Ashley Sweet 16 13 Jun 2002

I liked this book. This book was about two teenage girls who is trying to throw the best birthday party, but when they tell everybody that they are having it on the beach. Everybody gets excited and they're expecting to have it on the beach, but later the two teenage girls find out that they can't have it on the beach because they need a permit. Ashley boyfried broke up with her the day before they went to get their permit. She is a little depressed. So they go take their drivers test. Mary Kate ended up failing, and Ashley passed. ...i would recommend this book to a teenager because i think everybody goes through this type of thing on their teenage birthday.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Sweet 16 Perfect Summer by Emma Harrison is a great book about a road trip and the girls both have jobs at the Music Fest. The book is about when Mary Kate and Ashley go on a road trip to a Music Fest after they turn sixteen. When they found out they were going they were so excited they were jumping up and down screaming.
The main characters in the book are Mary Kate, Ashley, Brian, Penny, their parents and their friend Don. One thing that happened at the beginning of the book is that they actually found out they were going to the festival. Another part of the book was that they left their house to start their road trip. Once they were there they meet their dad's friend Don who makes music videos. Those are some of the things that happened in the book.
I like this book a lot. I like this book because Penny overcomes her fear of stage fright. I also like that they won the contest and got their scholarships. A part that was sad was when the girls heard how good Penny was singing but she did not want them to her. So after that Penny would not even talk to them. One thing that was funny is when Mary-Kate and Ashley got revenge on Penny for being mean to them. That is my opinion about the book.
The theme of this book is that friends can help you do anything. That is the theme because Penny got over her fear. Another thing is when Ashley could not carry all the equipment Brian helped her with it. All of Penny and Brian's friends helped them practice for the competition. If you like to read surprising books this is a good book for you.
