They're referring to the plastic film covering the magnetic closure clasp. My mother didn't notice this little piece of film at first and though the case still closed, now that she's removed the film, it snaps closed a lot more securely. Hope this helps.

don't know about the real leather part but it is very good quality. The back is plastic to hold the kindle securely which it does very well. For the price it is a really good buy, protects the kindle and turns it on and off as you open the cover. I can't fault it really.

Hi there, just checked and yes you are correct it's synthetic leather. I wanted to use the case for a while before I left a review. Well sorry your upset, but it does feel rather nice.

You can fold the cover back on itself, all in all it's a great cover for your Kindle. Hope that helps you.
