I bought this book as I'm getting into baking biscuits and there don't seem to be many recipes on these. This is a wonderful book not just on Swedish cakes and biscuits, but I also discovered while looking through these cakes and pastries, many of them are recipes that have found their way across much of Northern Europe. I could count a good many of these are cakes, breads and pastries I've come across in Polish, Hungarian, German, Czech and no doubt Danish cuisine due to cross border travel in the last 60 or so years. It is an absolute MUST in any serious baker's library and anyone who considers themselves a serious cook should have this to use again and again. I'm only sorry I didn't come across this book a few years ago, but will certainly make up for lost time now. Many of these recipes are typical of Northern European cuisine, homely, hearty, gutsy food, full of flavour that you keep coming back for more.
