I bought this popcorn maker to take the work out of making yummy popcorn, and was sadly disappointed! Not only does a lot of the popcorn end up on the floor, but there is no butter dish as advertised FOUR TIMES on the rather cheap looking box. I really wish that I had paid a bit more for a better model.

My daughter received this popcorn maker for Christmas Swan - Popcorn Maker
As others have said there is no butter dish as was repeatedly advertised.
The plastic lid is a very poor fit and only stays on by the grace of God.
The popped corn flies everywhere, evading all attempts to catch it.
And red hot unpopped corn manages to fly out too - some has been discovered more than 10 feet away, another piece melted itself onto a Ziploc bag which was laying on the worksurface. This stuff is seriously hot and could cause nasty burns, you do not see it coming either.
I would return this item in a heartbeat, but unfortunately my grandfather bought it as a christmas present about 6 months ago, so I think I have to resort to writing to Swan.

I purchased this for my girlfriend as a present thinking any old popcorn maker would do the job. It turns out this has to be one of the most poorly designed appliances I have ever purchased and I returned it the following day.
When you switch it on, all seems fine, but once the corn starts popping get ready to deal with popcorn doing everything but falling neatly into the bowl blow it. I even attempted to put two plates either side and it would still go everywhere.
One funny side-note, if you read the instructions it says to clean it only with a "dump cloth".
