I know that you get what you pay for, but I did expect with a brand like Swan that there would be some quality to these saucepans. However, they have very thin bases (which means that stuff on the bottom can burn before the stuff on the top even starts getting hot, and that's on a low heat!) and are really really tinny. Even worse, if you cook with the lid on (e.g. when simmering something) the knobs of the lids become red hot, as I found to my cost - a burned thumb and fingers is not funny.

I really would say don't waste your money. Buy two or three more expensive, better quality pans. Mine will be going in the bin, I don't think they're safe enough to give to charity.
