Book Description

19 Jun 2014 Surviving The Evacuation
Surviving The Evacuation, Book 3: Family: Billions died. Civilisation collapsed. Zombies rule the Earth. But there is safety, so Bill and Kim are told, in a small village on the Irish coast. If they can just cross hundreds of miles of undead wasteland, to a rendezvous on a Welsh beach, there is a boat willing to take them there. But first they must travel back into London to rescue Annette and Daisy. If they can find and rescue the children, and get them somewhere safe, even then Bill’s journey will not be over. It can’t be, not until he’s confronted his past and chosen between his old family and his new one. Also included is the short story, Zombies vs The Living Dead: For George Tull, Mary O’Leary and the other residents of the Waverly-Price Retirement Home, joining the evacuation is not an option. They wait for rescue, but when it becomes clear that they have been abandoned, George is left with a terrible choice; stay and fight to save the people he loathes, or leave and abandon the woman he has come to love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous 22 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Waited for the third part of the trilogy for a long time and it was worth the wait.

I've really enjoyed this story, it was, refreshingly, set in the UK, it avoided the "gore 'n guts" approach of a lot of novels in this genre and the story itself and the character development was very very strong (I knew Bennet was a wrong 'un from the off!).

I agree with other reviewers that (a) some of the plot lines seemed a little rushed in the wrap up and (b) I would really like this continue, how the community develops, what happens to Sholto, Bill and Kim.

This is without a doubt one of the best zombie series I have read, and would look forward to reading other works by the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable 22 Jun 2014
By Bomber
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Last in the trilogy and again read in just a day or so.
Enjoyed reaching the end and some sort of closure though clearly there is scope for more adventure for the group.
Clever working of the story and my oh criticism would be that some of the loose ends were a little rushed when they were tied up. How many escapes can Bill have?
This does not detract from the writing though. I have thoroughly enjoyed this tale from beginning to end. The gore level was just right for me in that there was very little. I find stories that focus on the guts do so because the story is weak. This is not like that and the better for it. I will be looking for more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome 10 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have been waiting what seemed an age and it didn't disappoint x I read it in an afternoon - what a fitting end to a trilogy I happened on by mistake x I do hope there will be more but I doubt it. Couldn't have asked for a better book to finish the trilogy off, plenty of thrills and a few heart stopping moments loved every single second of all of these books I may go back and read them all again

5.0 out of 5 stars A great addition in an engrossing series. 8 Sep 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The third in the series continues at a pace. This was my first dive into self published books and I was worried about the quality. I needn't have been so precious! The three books left me wanting more and are extremely involving. Great zombie fiction and fiction in general and I am looking forward to more. Sharpen your pencil Mr. Tayell!

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant zombie adventure 8 Jun 2014
By Bex
Format:Kindle Edition
I read the first two books in the space of a weekend and have been eagerly awaiting this final instalment. It didn't disappoint, an evocative, fast paced story that kept me enthralled. Great to read a zombie book set in the UK too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thoroughly enjoyed this series of books 28 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. I liked the idea and the thought it evokes - also liked the fact that it wasn't just a brains fest and we go into some detail to describe what the best way to describe a zombie might be!

When a book leaves me sad and a bit at a loss when it ends I know I really enjoyed it. I hope there might be a follow up on what happens to the characters (all of them likeable) when they try to rebuild civilization.

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent ending 21 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A kindle discovery that worked out! The three books are really well paced and darkly humorous in tone. While not quite as good as the opener in the series, there is enough here to provide a satisfactory ending.

I enjoyed all the books of the trilogy and would recommend them to others. This is the final book and I found it as gripping as book 1 and 2.

3.0 out of 5 stars Damp squib
Bit of a damp squib ending, to be honest, to the series. Or perhaps I 've been spoilt by the none stop action of the R.R. Haywood books.

It's a good book to read at after a long day at work, not too taxing on the brain and is relatively good, though I thought the first book was better.

4.0 out of 5 stars a fitting end
Not all books need fairy tale endings and this is one. A good mixture of hope and reality to keep you reading
