2.0 out of 5 stars Frustrating and incomplete 18 Feb 2013

This book is really frustrating - there are a number of projects to copy to get the feel of things, along with source images. I found the source images on the web - not where the book said they were, I had to search - only to find that many of the file formats were different to those in the projects in the book.
Finally found the right files for my project, only to discover that the projects that I tried had incomplete directions, to say the least. I didn't buy this book to copy projects for their own sake, but not having taken a degree in photoshop I was hoping to go through the processes to understand them. After struggling for hours just to copy some of the moves I gave up the struggle, because although this book is ideal as a showcase for the brilliance of the photographers, it is absolutely useless as a tutorial is surreal digital photography, which is what I thought I was buying.

If you are an expert in photoshop, I'm sure the book is fine. If you're not, and you want to learn, don't but this book
