Betty G. Birney has written episodes for many children's television shows and is the author of over twenty-five picture books. Her work has won many awards, including an Emmy and three Humanitas Prizes. She lives in America with her husband and son.

My son loved these books when he was in reception, new to school etc helped him understand about school life, lovely simple stories of the ups and downs of school life, making friends, having disagreements, spiteful kids, teachers, other peoples families. But then he discovered Horrid henry and captain underpants etc, you have to time it right!! Might last longer with girls.

have bought the humphery books for my granddaughters who are 9years&8years of age they can't get enough fo them the stories are great they have all the ones that have been printed and would like to see if there are any more to get.
