Product Description

The Assassins' Village reached#1 in Women Sleuths and #2 in Suspense.

NB. Although the Diana Rivers mystery suspense murder novels are a 'series', they can be read in any order.

"The Surgeon's Blade" is chilling and tense. It has been described in certain reviews as a 'real corker of a read'.

Nursing sister, Libby Hunter wakes up in hospital with amnesia after a traumatic sailing accident. The stranger she finds sitting by her bedside claims to be her fiancé. As she cannot remember ever being engaged, she finds excuses to put him off until she is completely sure of her true feelings.

Returning home, Libby finds herself in great danger when her house is broken into. Who is the intruder and what does he want? Is this connected in any way to a series of attacks on nurses in London and Southampton? Will Libby be the latest targeted victim?

Distressed Libby turns to helicopter pilot, Robert for help and understanding, but is he as respectable and kind as he appears to be? Is her so-called fiancé, Nigel trustworthy?

The night time intrusion into Libby's house sets in motion a downwards spiral of cataclysmic and terrifying events, culminating in our favourite sleuth, Diana Rivers stepping in to help solve the case in this chilling mystery.

This is the third in the Diana Rivers series; Children of the Plantation and The Assassins' Village are also available on Amazon. Book four, Camera Action...Murder! is now available on Amazon.

All three novels Diana Rivers were in the Top 20 psychological suspense for 2011 and 2012 on Amazon.

Faith also writes action/adventure/romantic suspense. Please see The Seeds of Time (book 1 in the Crossing series) and Harvest (book 2 in the Crossing series).

Please note any of the Diana Rivers series can be read in any order.
Available in paperback and eBook.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping read 20 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
An attacker targeting nurses, and a nurse with 2 mysterious men in her life - how will it end?

I really enjoyed this book, I didn't guess who had done it, and my only problem with it was that I had to go to work and do errands which stopped me being able to read it as quickly as I liked!! A nicely paced book, with plenty of short chapters that kept you wanting to read more, and also plenty of twists that kept you thinking. Can't wait to read more by this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars gripping story 15 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
i have read the previous 2 books in this series, and must say that this one which is the third in the Diana Rivers series is probably the best yet. Some fantastic characters have been added and i do hope that they will stay and there are many more to follow. I had no idea who the perp was until it was divulged, this book certainly gripped me from the start to the end. More to follow please Faith.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Surgeon's Blade - A Fab Read..... 20 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the first novel I have read by Faith Mortimer, but it certainly wont be the last! It was well written, and the plot was excellent. The events that happened to Libby, (a nurse at the local hospital), the main character in the book, could have happened to anyone, and so made it very believeable.

After waking up in hospital after a sailing accident, with no memory, and finding Nigel a top surgeon from the hospital, by her bedside informing her that they were engaged to be married, it was all very confusing - Libby had no recollection of this. Personally I found Nigel quite a creepy individual.

On recovering from the accident, Libby felt she was being stalked, after nurses at the hospital where she worked, were being attacked by a serial attacker. At times you could really feel her fear and it was difficult to know who she should trust. The story kept you guessing to the end. A thoroughly enjoyable read, and I am looking forward to the next one.

1.0 out of 5 stars too predictable.
I see this book is listed as a psychological thriller. I was not thrilled! I had expected it to be a medical thriller along the lines of Ken McClure books. It definitely wasn't. Read more
