The best surfing book I have ever bought. Has a lot of pictures and explains techniques well. I can't put it down!

Bought this book a while ago and have found it to be very thorough. I am by no means an expert surfer, but the images in Surfing: The Manual: Advanced are truly inspirational. A couple of the sequences are a little hard to follow, but I'm sure someone of a higher skill level would have no problem in following them. Jim Kempton's text is easy to read and the insight from some of the world's best surfers really helps to add a different dimension to the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and regularly refer back to it. As a surf skills and technique guide I reckon this book is good value.

Not that good. 18 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
This book is not really good. The setup is messy and not consistent. They say that the images show the moves in detail, however it looks more like your local surf mag than a book that should teach you moves. Better buy Taj Burrow's book of hot surfing.
