Shri Shiva Rudra Balayogi Maharaj. Having practiced spiritual disciplines from childhood, he entered a stage known as Tapas in 1994 in which he meditated for twenty hours a day over five years. Achieving Self Realization in 1999, he now teaches meditation around the world upon invitation by sincere students of meditation and without charge. His systematic and rational approach is ideally suited to discerning students of meditation today. He emphasizes that the only miracle of meditation is peace, not myths and superstitions. He teaches that cravings, restlessness and lack of concentration are not natural states of mind but acquired habits which can be overcome through meditation. Peace is the natural state of existence. He teaches the Jangama Dhyana technique that he practiced as taught by his guru Shri Shivabalayogi Maharaj. As it involves no external anchor for concentration, it is considered one of the highest techniques of meditation.
