Supertramp s Breakfast In America was the biggest selling album in the world in 1979. It spawned several hit singles and went on to win two Grammy Awards and sell in excess of 20 million copies. Following the album s release Supertramp embarked on a 10 month world tour which arrived in Paris at the end of November. This show from the Pavillon de Paris was both filmed and recorded. The audio went on to form the basis of the 1980 live album Paris but the film was never released. Now for the first time, transferred and restored to full HD from the original 16mm film, this footage is available to Supertramp s legion of fans worldwide. The concert features the different song-writing styles of Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies, who each composed the songs on which they sing lead vocals. The sound has been remixed by Peter Henderson and Supertramp s original sound engineer Russel Pope from the original multi-tracks and is presented in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound. This is a legendary show by a legendary band performing at their absolute peak and is a must for any Supertramp fan. Finally I get to see the concert i've only been able to listen to these past 33yrs. One of the best live albums ever released. And it's been cranked up a notch with the release of this Blu Ray. The sound on the Blu Ray has been wonderfully remixed & it sounds fantastic. The film itself has been made to look really good considering it's age & the poor state it was found in. Only very occasionally are you reminded that it's well over 30yrs old. This is Supertramp in their pomp & all the hits are here. Any Supertramp fan should pick up a copy of this & sit back, crank up the volume & enjoy. This release has been too long in coming. Was it worth the wait...hell yes!!

After all this time, a great gift for all of those who have waited. Of course it's not pristine 1080p video. It's 1979 for
God's sake. Great HD-MA sound though. I love it. So quit nitpicking about the minor things. Just sit back and enjoy a little Supertramp.

A friend of mine recommended I purchase this Bluray while I could, considering all of the release issues and the fact it may get pulled from the shelves. I have to say that even after hearing all of his positive feedback and high praise for this disc, I was worried that all this build up would leave me with somewhat of a let down....but it didn't. I couldn't agree more....I've had the disc for two weeks now and have probably watched it from beginning to end at least 4 times. It IS that good!!! Yes the picture quality is slightly grainy, but what can one honestly expect from 1979. The sound quality for then is really quite excellent!!! This is a very special moment of an incredible band that has been captured for all to enjoy and reminisce about. If you're a "Tramp" fan at all, this is an absolute must have Concert disc.
