5.0 out of 5 stars What a super book 14 Nov 2012
This is a great book, bringing the old craft of cross stitch back to life. There are so many small projects to get beginners started and the "crochet granny square" cushion is just beautiful. A lovely book, a great present and an inspiration to all of us whether from the original make do and mend generation or the present one.

Great book. Instructions are fabulous and the colour and pictures of the book make it a wonderful read. It is a craft I have always wanted to have a go at and the projects marked at different levels make it easy to decide on which to try first!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book 11 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I'm really chuffed with this book. It is contemporary, with great patterns and lots of information about using chunky stitches.
Not only do I look forward to trying some of these designs - I am already implementing advice on working with a chunkier stitch.
A breath of fresh air!
