Great clear, quiet ball...,

Completely transparent, and, because the plastic is softer than most, a lot quieter. I'm always apprehensive about ordering a hamster ball online as most hamster balls on the market are either semi-transparent (and/or even half-solid coloured) or make a lot of noise, which makes finding an adequate ball a bit of a challenge. Was not disappointed on either point with this particular ball.Of course, there is always a problem with the "doors" to hamster balls, and I have yet to find one that actually stays effectively shut without fear of an intelligent hamster (like our 4-time escape artist) figuring out a way out. And this one is no exception. So we always revert to the standard use of sellotape to keep it sealed while the hamster rolls about. Hence the 4-star rating. That being said, this appears, so far, to be the best hamster ball we have purchased to date. UPDATE 13/10: Due to the soft nature of the ball, the hamster has managed to chew at the door slats, meaning we must use more sellotape. However, we will be buying another one of these anyway, as it ticks most of our boxes.

Compared to the last ball my hamster had, this was is great. The lid never comes off as it clips in properly when you twist it.

Good play ball for gerbil/hamster,

We really like this ball for our gerbil. It is transparent so we can see him at all times (a lot of ones in pet shops are coloured) and he LOVES it, as do we. One slightly doubtful bit is we are not sure how secure the twist-in clips are so for safety sake, we always put a bit of sellotape on just to make sure that Nutz doesn't excape!
