Format:Blu-ray
What can I say? If you're reading this you probably know the whole situation surrounding Supernatural on blu-ray. This for the first time ever in European markets marks the release of the first two seasons on the format. In the USA, season 2 is yet to be released (although it can be imported from Asia) Why should you buy this then? Well for a start the superior picture quality. The picture is strong, with a light grain and retains the whole gritty feel of the show, definitely worth watching on blu-ray!
Also, the price is excellent, or at least was when I purchased it at £67. A perfect purchase for someone willing to fork out in excess of £33 for just the fifth season on blu-ray. I already had the first four seasons on DVD, but managed to make a tidy £33 selling them. So, I practically upgraded my collection to HD at no extra cost.
The first two and last two seasons have four discs each, with the third season having three (due to the lower episode count as a result of the Writer's Strike) But all in all you get 104 episodes on 19 discs (with a running time of 4392 minutes), not to mention a ton of extras! The case is simple but beautiful on the shelf. The set is five standard multi-disc blu-ray amaray cases (the same as used in regular sets) in a strong glossy cardboard box.
At the end of the day, this is a great set, Season 1 is a great start to a great series, and unlike most the show just gets better and better, I'm only a few episodes into Season 5 at the moment, but from what I've heard it is the best, and I think this show deserves a lot more recognition, a hidden gem beneath the TV phenomenons such as LOST and 24, and is in many ways better than both.
All in all this is a great set, but I'd advise you to wait a while, perhaps until the price drops to somewhere around the £60-£70 mark. If you've seen this show on TV, or perhaps own a season or two and wish to catch up then by all means pick this up, you wont regret it. Yes, it may not be the complete collection, and yes, there will be a seasons 1-6 blu-ray collection in a year's time, but does it really matter? If the price is right, go for it.

So get it, even if it's a blind buy, you wont regret it, trust me, pretty soon you'll get caught up in the world of the Winchester brothers, and wonder why you never did before!

For all folks who did not know if the quality of the presentation is decent enough!
First the bad:
The only unboxy issue is the different language equipment of the seasons.
And now the good:
Every five seasons has got an own strong bluraycase, I think it is the same as the normal edition. All cases are boxed in a supernatural hardcover, which is tough like a bookcover. Looks very fine and sublime. There are booklets for the seasons and show us an episode guide, a bonus is a small artwork of Dean and Sam in the middle of the three booklets.
Highly recommended!!

People who are not watching this are really missing out on the best, most well written and acted TV show ever.
It has everything - drama, horror, comedy, action and adventure, mystery and will have you gripped for many hours. The writing is superb, the acting is awesome and the storylines are brilliant.
It has a 5 season story arc which has been properly planned out, you get some answers as it goes along, new questions and answers and then a very satisfying conclusion of the 5 seasons. Each episode is packed and is never boring partly because throughout the series each episode has its own story. Some episodes are standalone and some are part of the story arc, but they all have a lot in them and are very ambitious. I've never known a programme pack so much into every 40 minute episode.
The two leading actors are brilliant, especially Jensen Ackles who plays Dean. He should be winning Emmy Awards for his performances and Supernatural should be winning Emmy Awards for best TV show. This is the most under rated TV show ever and beats hands down all of the other US TV shows that get a lot of publicity.
So if you haven't seen Supernatural before I recommend you buy this boxset and join the Supernatural Fandom. You won't regret it.

Separate buy cheaper

Fantastic value box set
