Des'ree works 3 July 2011
Format:Audio CD
I bought this albumn because of one specific track - I'm Kissing You - which was used in an outstanding production of a play - Comic Potential - at Manchester Metroploitan University's Theatre School. So I'm not part of the core market for this material. That said, this is a very solid piece of work. Mybe a bit predictable, but maybe the passage of time since release explains. The track that I wanted still evokes a deep sense of loss and sorrow for me, even in the car returning from work in the afternoon/evening. Result. I bought a second copy for one of the cast, and even at her relatively tender age, it seems to work.
The service in delivering my order was as ever, very good. Done more quickly than me waiting for the weekend to shop - and maybe it's not in stock. Not good news for on-street retailers, but that seems to be the way of the world.

Des'ree is just a positive, charming and sunny singer/songwriter. All her songs come from the heart and have the ability to inspire the listener. The lyrics on Supernatural are not exactly original but she does sing smoothly. Higlights on the album is the hauntingly beautiful "Kissing You" and the remake "Fire" with Babyface.

Happy and Upbeat 18 Dec 1999
By Emilia, A-level student - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is definitely the kind of music you'd want to listen to on a rainy day, because its cheerful lyrics and melodies are enough to cheer anyone up. Some songs, such as "Proud to be a Dread" can be somewhat repetitive, but most of the tracks are original and interesting. "I'm Kissing You" is a beautiful song you'll want to listen to again and again, as is "Indigo Daisies". Des'ree's voice is unique and suits the music well. Generally, this is a top-quality album which has obviously had lots of work put into it.

Will always love this one!... 24 Sep 2004

This CD is really catchy, upbeat, still love it after all these years! She has a great, unique voice for her material. 'Life' and 'What's Your Sign' are great cuts- sunny day feelgood songs. Not so keen on her new stuff, but this one is 'the classic'. Try it out!

Nice, but a little different than expected 11 Jan 2003

I bought this cd expecting something more along the lines of "I ain't movin." Simple lyrics, but inspiring. I was kind of disappointed by Supernatural because some of the lyrics are really corney on this cd. Like the fist song "What's your Sign? Do you know?/Let me guess? You're Scorpio/...Scorpios are pretty cool. See I am a Sag..." Just very lyrically uninspiring. The first song "What's your Sign" was not my cup of tea at all; I did like the chorus however the rest..ahh. The music was very good for all the songs-but lyrically, it was lacking (which drags the power of cd down). And all the "doo doot doo doot doo" choruses (instead of actually words) in many of the songs also got on my nerves. However, there are some redeeming gems that make the cd great. Such as Indigo Daisies, Darwin Star, and Time. The song that was my favorite was "time"-I love that song; its about how time goes so fast & we all just need some more, beautiful melody. So if your buying this cd, buy it expecting ok music but not v. wonderful lyrics.
I would definitely recommend her 1st cd mind adventures & I ain't movin before this cd. =)
