'SUPERMAC'charts the story of eleven times TT winner Phillip McCallen from his first memories as a five year old boy through to the heights of winning his first race, his first North west, his first TT, and the more unsavory elements like the despair of being accused of a fatal accident and the battle to clear his name! The story unfolds as Phillip gives accounts of his various battles to recovery from appalling injuries sustained in this unforgiving sport, along with a more lighthearted and humerous account of how he came to meet his wife! This is a story of a man who took risks, lived life on the very edge! It takes us on a journey of danger and achievment, of fame and fortune. This story is written from the heart and a must for any sporting enthusiast.

I read this book some 10 years ago, I was always a Joey Dunlop fan and did't welcome a Brash young gun coming onto the scene to potentially beat Joey.
I,m still in awe at Joeys' achievements and still wish he was here.
After reading this book my opinion altered about Phil McCallen and I had new found respect (as I have for ALL those road racing heroes).
This year Phillip was guest of Honour at the Stafford Classic bike show and was a huge hit.
I wanted to find a copy of his book which was out of print and found one on Amazon, although not 100% perfect (a bit like me) I was able to take the book to the show, meet Phillip and have him autograph one of the photographs of him and Joey taken during those great days of T.T. racing.
