1.0 out of 5 stars Very, Very Bad 13 April 2011
By Zepelin
Format:Audio CD
Another reviewer describes this album perfectly: "this is bad, really bad - as poor as it gets".

I have deleted it from my itunes library and sent it off to a charity shop.

I'm sure this album will appeal to some but having been used to the amazingly beautiful music combining quality productions from the ISOS series, Anjunabeats, PVD and Super8 & Tab's Empire; Superclub was a total let down.

Trance/House music at it's best is one of the most uplifting genres around and a good album will leave you feeling in a state of wonderful calmness and euphoria. Superclub left me is a state of meltdown.

It was actually painful to listen to.

The mixing is the worst, murdering what was originally some good music/songs.

I feel guilty about giving it to a charity shop thinking perhaps burying it may have been a better option but didn't want to pollute my garden.

I never intended to write a review unless something excelled; this did but not in the way I had originally intended the description of excelling - excelling in the worst state possible.

If I could give this no starts, I would.

4.0 out of 5 stars The good the bad and the Gatecrasher 7 May 2011
By James
Format:Audio CD
So, I've been listening to Gatecrasher for quite a while now, about 6/7 years or so, and have been to their clubs a number of times; so what I am going to do is seperate this review into four parts, reviewing each CD and then the product as a whole.

Lets start with Cream.

The music at best on this CD is standard club music, it doesn't stand out, and basically contains remixes or original tracks that you can hear on the radio, and no doubt have done many-a-time. The mixing on this CD isn't great, and a good number of tracks that are good in their original state have been destroyed by some remix or another. If your like me and are very passionate about what dance/trance music you like, this will NOT be your cup of tea/coffee/other heated drink. However, what we have to remember is that for the masses, this will be a very good CD to listen to; I played all three CD's at my last house party and this one went down a treat. Why? Because when your drunk, this is the kind of tacky music you want to listen and dance too. Thats right, this CD is tacky, and we all love a bit of tack don't we?

Onto the Gatecrasher CD.

This is the standard deal from Gatecrasher, some good songs, some good songs remixed into better songs, and some utterly dire songs. As a Gatecrasher CD it rates at the stars I've given it, 4* at best, there are much, much MUCH better ones out there, but for what it's worth, its worth the money. The strong point of this CD are the first 6 tracks, which mix in quite well and all are good to listen too. If your a Gatecrasher fan, I would indeed recommend this buy.

And finally, Pasha.

Much like the Gatecrasher CD it has some good aspects, and some poor aspects too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin! 26 Jan 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Listen if ur a real purist then maybe this isn't the one for you. But if ur looking to buy it now (paying about 3 quid inc.p+p) I'm guessing ur not one of them.. And actually the track selections pretty spot on. So it won't change ur world, but if ur after some decent tunes to pass away the hours u'll be more than happy I reckon xxx

4.0 out of 5 stars It's actually pretty good!! 21 Jun 2011
By Unknown
Format:Audio CD
I actually got this a couple of months back now and having been listening to the music on it quite a lot I can safety say that it is worth a listen.

Now admittedly I have to agree with Zepelin "Suuz" that there are some poor remixes of certain songs like the Barbra Streisand remix by Odye$$y and the Frisky remixed by Kurtis Mantronik.

However, despite the occasional remix that makes you immediately hit 'next track' on your mp3 player/ computer; there are MANY good tracks on there that make the CD / mp3 download worth getting. The 3 CDs are divided into mixes by the well known club names Cream/ Gatecrashers and Pacha. I would probably say that the last CD (or the last 20 tracks on the digital album) are probably the most varied in quality with some amazing mixes (towards the end e.g. Sign Your Name and Huge) and some much worse remixes (towards the beginning).

I would say the second CD is probably is the most consistent and has the best tracks overall, and the 1st CD definitely is worth listening to as well (despite a few poor remixes in it like the 3rd).

I would recommend this album, but give you the warning that you perhaps have to give it time to sieve out the bad tracks to find the ones that are really good! If you are into house and/or trance music there are some tracks on there worth paying attention to (as a few examples: Bangduck- Afrojack/ Sanctuary- Gareth Emery (and many more!)) even if you end up not getting the CD or downloading the whole album. Hope that helps!
